MV的一開始，女主角在明信片上訴說對家的思念，空氣中瀰漫著孤寂的氛圍，牆上貼著兩人到處旅遊的照片，看起來是那麼的疏遠。隨著音樂的出現，她開始回想交往以來的點點滴滴。從近來充滿疲憊與失落的日子，到以前幸福、快樂的生活，再到第一次見面時的畫面：兩人手中握著一張卡片，寫著〈Greetings from across the pond (越過大西洋的會面)〉，在自由女神像前拍下照片。隨著音樂來到過橋，時間拉回到了現實，男主角到海邊沉澱了許久，背景那閃爍的餘暉也許就是兩人現在的處境吧。最後，男主角決定賣掉摩托車，辭去工作，拿著這筆錢帶女主角回家。

寫這首歌的當時，The Script 剛結束第一張專輯的巡迴演唱，回到家鄉都柏林舉辦粉絲見面會，卻發現這座陪伴他們成長的城市，遇上經融風暴的侵襲，人民普遍窮困，毒品問題持續存在，刊登在報紙上 The Script 的報導，與滿滿的社會新聞形成強烈的對比。因此，The Script 想要藉由音樂來訴說人民的心聲，帶給他們希望，並告訴大家，當生活不如意時，我們需要回歸到最基本的生活方式，並珍惜一切所擁有的。
